You will not be sold anything here. You can’t even subscribe to a newsletter here. And I am not interested in selling you a breakthrough marketing course, a book or a VIP membership program.
I don’t have time for such and I am not in the business of selling hope.
But I do write about advertising. To be exact about direct response advertising. I am – probably just like you – a business owner and from the bottom of my heart a marketer.
Why are you doing this?
Unfortunately too many people sell content about marketing to make it seem harder than it is. The promotions they use to sell their courses is mostly bloated with half-truths, lies, selective memories, phony testimonials, exaggerated claims, forced conclusions, hype and good ol’ fashioned trickery.
Most courses in my opinion are a finely crafted charade that tries to convince people that there is actually a secret behind successful marketing. And this hurts because it’s not true. There is nothing magical behind successful ad campaigns, or marketing in general.
And there will never be one.
All the free content that is out there is always focused on noise tactics. Seven things you must do, ten things you must avoid, etc. This all is irrelevant if you don’t see the big picture behind marketing. If you jump from tactic to tactic, marketing will never work.
On this site you’ll find ideas that I’ve found to be working. Ideas that helped me to understand marketing better. And I hope it will help you too. Even if its just one idea that makes things a bit clearer for you, then I am happy.
Direct Response marketing is something wonderful and we wouldn’t be here without the founders. A sincere thank you to all wonderful marketers that shaped it, the way it is today.
Especially to the founding fathers
Albert Lasker, John E. Kennedy and Claude C. Hopkins
